| | | | Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 84 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 84 | I've got my 235 all tuned up and it runs and idles well however, once the choke (Rochester BC) has opened up, if I turn the truck off, It won't start until the engine cools down and the choke closes. I have the carb adjusted to factory settings but won't start when hot. If I choke it down, just to start it, it works fine.
Am I missing something? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,644 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,644 | Have you tried to push the gas pedal down a few times than try and start ,when the carb is hot the gas inside perks out so if you give it a couple of shots from the accelerator pump that gives the engine some fuel to start.It worked for me when I was running a "B" carb on my 235 and 216.

Look down the throat of the carb with the engine off & work the throttle. You should see a squirt of gas go in each time you open it from closed possition.
