I was looking to replace by little Plymouth Neon after nine years of abuse through college. I was looking for a newer car that was a little nicer to drive more creature comforts, but at the same time I was also looking at old trucks just for kicks. I even looked at 1967 Chevy C10. But one day looking through the online car ads I saw this 1951 Chevy truck. The price was right (cheaper than what my current car was worth). So I went to look at it that evening; told the kid selling it I'd take it and bring a truck when it was convenient for him. The brakes needed work, but it would fire up.

Come to find out after signing the check and him handing me the title. It was in his grandfather's name. His great-grandpa bought the truck for his son to work on the farm in southern Idaho. It sat for some years until his grandson said he'd love to fix it up. So he trailered it home to Salt Lake and parked it while he dabbled, until his girlfriend said her parents didn't want it parked at their house anymore. That's when it went up for sale!

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
