When I placed my order they told me they weren't giving discounts to stovebolt.com members anymore. Are there any vendors that do?

being a "sponser" means helping the site out, American Classic has been paying for hosting the site server for ages, quite a help - various vendors offer discounts for 'bolters for certain periods, Mar-K and Jim Carter have in the past, don't know about right now

Here is a link to an old Vintage truck Magazine article in 2007.

Describing the Stovebolt page, Some Great people who run it, and how American Classic Truck Parts assisted when needed.

...link...

Big THANK YOU!!! to ALL involved in keeping this website up and running.

Its kind of hard to find, but there is a spot where you can donate to the Stove Bolt page using paypal.

To answer the original question ... to my knowledge, we do not currently have any vendors offering a specific Stovebolt discount. Doesn't mean that they won't in the future, just that they aren't at the moment.

American Classic Antique Truck Parts saved this site from going away more than 10 years ago and has continued to be the major supporter of the site all along.

I'm sure the discounts will come back around.

As always, we sure appreciate all the support you all give us, too! Always makes our day to see a note in the mailbox (the real one out at the end of the driveway) from a 'Bolter.

Today, even, a box showed up from one of our 'Bolter friends with some Belgian chocolate. THAT was a huge hit with Miss Peggy smile

You guys rock

I received a stovebolt discount last week when I ordered online from Classic Parts. I think it was 10%. Just put in the code "stovebolt" and it calculates it automatically.

Classic Parts?

American Classic Truck Parts (most likely this one, our hosting sponsor)
-or-
Classic Parts of America

Does Jim Carter still give a 10% discount to contributing members?

Classic Parts is the old Chevy Duty but Chevrolet didn't like them using "Chevy" so they changned to Classic Parts.

It really takes some thinking to keep some of these vendors apart and a couple of them have "spin off" or "sister" company that is actually all about the same.
JimCarter,Filling Station, Chev's of the 40's. Then you have
Classic Parts,
American Classic
Classic Chevrolet Parts

and so it goes. If it has Classic in the name we have really look close.

also, JCarter discount is based upon a bolter making a donation to the site..... but I think if you tell them your a stovebolter they will let you have the discount... but why would one not want to make a donation to keep such a great site as this one going?
Anway, I just try to always measure twice and cut once!!

Great information guys. The vendor I was referring to is www.americanclassic.com which I ordered by phone and not online. Even though they told me they weren't discounting they did knock some off after seeing my $500 order which was very much appreciated.

Thanks for the stovebolt paypal link...that will make it easy!
