However, the park brake cables were not re-connected to the crossbar. There is a 3 inch gap between the clevis on the hub cable and the mounting point on the crossbar.
The triangular piece that slips on the crossbar is moveable, but I would think that changing that would be unnecessary. Surely the brakes would engage if it were possible to pull the cable 3 inches.
What am I missing? Thanks.

Can you take a couple photos of the cable at the drum area and of the triangular piece that slips on the crossbar? I think we can zero in on your problem with proper Info and pictures.

Hopefully it's all connected properly inside.BTW, it's a '50 ton dually with a grain bed and hoist.It needs good P. brakes so I can check that it's empty
