old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 14 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 14 | Hello from middle georgia! I have a 1946 chevy 1/2 ton and a 41-46? also. I was told the both were 41's but looking one is a 46 and the other doesnt have any serial numbers on it, so not sure exact year on it. Was referred here by a friend on another forum. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,215 Moderator | | Moderator Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,215 | Hi 46, welcome to the 'bolt. Those years are hard to verify because of the stoppage in production due to the war. That is a very nice series of trucks though. How did you end up with two? Is one a parts truck? Need to see some pics if possible.

Your in Ga. so your close enough to join in the Southern Stovebolt Reunion June 11th.
I'm not "positive"on this but but I believe a way to tell the 41 from the 42-46 is that the 41 park light housing & glass are different. The 41 metal housing does not go all the way around the glass... I think!
oh, there I go thinking again. I should have just advised you to ask that question in the General Truck Talk or the Paint and Body forumn!!! | | | | | Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 14 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 14 | before we get to the trucks, i'll tell my background in cars. Growing up my dad always had a project he was working on. He would finish one and trade it for another. The earliest I can remember is a OT(all were really OT) 55 Chevy. He had that one the longest of them all. I guess the rest never compared to it. lol Then he went to a 50 Plymouth Sedan, a 79 Vette, a 76 Mustang Cobra II, then a 76 Chevelle. on my 16th Bday he bought me a 76 Firebird. We tinkered on it till I went off for basic training and before I could get back and find a garage to store it in, the floods in St. Louis in 95 sent it floating down the river. I always looked for something else but couldnt really afford it. Then back in March of this year, I had some money put back to start saving for my new project, when i happened upon these trucks on craigslist. $250 for the pair. thry looked great from the pics he posted, and by the time I could get off work and go pay for them, it was already dark and I didnt have that great of a flashlight. So I paid the man, and set up a date to come pick them up. and that is where the build starts. I wavr done a little work here and there, but nothing major yet. Looking for a shop bay to rent to start anything major, as I dont have a garage or shop at the house. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 34 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 34 | Hi and welcome . is any of you guys in GA able to help me of looking at a chevy truck in GA north of Atlanta for me | | |
