What year and size of "big truck" 47-55?
54/55 (at least) 2-ton GMC COEs came with a solenoid-starter.
Chevrolet double-duty (forward-control - step-van) trucks and trucks equipped with automatic transmissions had starters with solenoids (as did 49-54 cars).
