Hopefully this is correct. the pictures in the album are of my 46 chevy truck and a 41-46 chevy truck. the one with the messed up front is the 46. I purchased these off a guy that saved them from the crusher. he was only asking $250 for the pair so i couldnt refuse. was told both were 41's but serial number on one says its a 46. the other doesnt have a serial number, so not sure on it. the motor on the stand was actually purchased this past sunday for $150 complete. air cleaner to oil pan. only thing we couldnt find in the barn was the fan and generator. he's supposed to look and if he finds them bring them to me.long road ahead as the trucks are pretty ate up, but im diving in feet first. look forward to keeping yall updated on the build.

Welcome to Stovebolt!
I love that style of truck. I grew up with a 46 1-ton pickup. Good luck with yours, and keep us posted on your progress.

thanks rich! hopefully between the Bolt and another forum i have joined, I can get these done a a budget. gonna do most of the work myself, but have to do a little here and there. no shop at the house means they are sitting at my inlaws across town. still trying to decide which way I wanna go with them. the blue truck has a nova front end, and the 46 is stock frame. first thought about street rodding the blue truck with a built 350 and traditional on the 46, but the further i dig in, i am wondering if i can even get 2 complete trucks out of them on a budget. was hoping to do both for less than 3k each complete. I didnt realize grilles for these trucks were so much. brand new chromed out grille is almost 1/3 of the budget. lol i will definatly keep up the posts as work is done.

.... as you build your truck it will talk to you and let you know what to do. If you don't believe just listen to what it says as you fix her up!!! I found out my plans changed several times along the way as it talked to me smile

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
