The factory or someone else as an aftermarket.
Could a hoist from a smaller bed be put on one that has a longer bed? Meaning I know it is possible but practical. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,988 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,988 | This should probably be moved to the Big Bolts forum.
But to answer your question, most of them were aftermarket items. As to the different styles, I'm sure it was pretty much the same as everything else--different manufacturers tried different things, some of which worked better than others.
There are several hoist experts here. I'm sure they will jump in with more info.
