Is there a publication on adjusting the rear brakes or can someone help me out? | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,377 Ex Hall Monitor | | Ex Hall Monitor Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,377 | If it still has the huck brakes turning the ends clockwise make the brakes tighter and CCW makes them looser. Turn each CW until you feel a slight drag & back off one click. I don't know if that's "text book" but it works for me. You have to adjust each side of each cylinder individually.

According to the 1940 shop manual (same huck brakes,) they say tighten to slight drag then back off 4 clicks. Also, disconnect E-brake so as not to get drag if cables are out of adjustment.
