Are you looking for more top end? better acceleration.....? And, are you running a V-8, 235, 216, and then there's the trans, is it the stock 3-speed, 4-speed, overdrive, auto???? Do you know what ratio your rear gear is now? All of these things will play into the mix in determining what you want to do with your rear end gearing.

I thought maybe changing the gears in the rear end would solve that...

It will make 65 or so comfortable. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum

It contains the bushing, bearings, seals, and gaskets that will most likely be required.

At 65 my knckles were white and the truck was all over the road. When I switched to radials the ride and handling at 65 was what I dreamed it could be.

Most of the "Catalog" stores order these kits from Patrick's. Also, I agree that you should go ahead and purchase the whole rebuild kit rather than just the gears - do it right the first time, unless there's time to do it again.
