(Sorry if I got the numbers wrong.)

But I have a line on a '66 fleetside that is sitting in a field with 71,000 miles. (It actually still turns over with a blast of starter fluid.)

It's one of the smaller motors, and I am looking for parts...can I use the carb, exhaust header, intake manifold, and possibly steering?

My truck is a 1 ton C30 with a 292.

(Oh...and anyone want the motor to defray the cost of getting this thing home?)

Thanks
Dave

The manifolds & carb will fit. There is a little less beef in the center of the exhaust manifold but it will work fine. The carb has a smaller bore but will fit. You will loose a little power. The steering linkage is heavier on a 1 ton then a half ton.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

If the exhaust pipe is good on the 230/250 keep it also because your 292 exhaust pipe will not fit the 250. It is 2*1/2" on your 292 and smaller ( I believe 2") on the 250. Your 250 exhaust manifold has 2 studs for exhaust pipe and the 292 has 3 studs.

Hey Sable,
Come on up to Center Point. I have a 66 292 that's complete and a couple of clean fuel tanks with senders. What else you need?
