Is the inside diameter of a 47-59 fuel neck hose 1 3/8". I was told it is but don't have one to check. If so where could i get one. I need to replace the hose on a 66 carryall but can't find one anywhere, it's 1 3/8".

Nobody carries 1 3/8" fuel neck hose, it's an odd size with no demand. That's why I was trying to find out if 47-59 had the same inside diameter. Then I would be able to go to a restoration site and possibly find some.

The 47-48 connection hose is completely different from the later ones. My '48 takes a 2" ID piece of hose. Which year are you working on?

If you could not locate at your local auto parts store you could try and belt and hose shop. I had a local shop make me up some hoses for my remote oil canister.

maybe you can try chev's of the 40's. They are located in your neck of the woods.

All the vendors carry the kits

Good Luck

A 1954 Suburban is 2¼". I found it at a parts store. It was a remnant and I had to buy the whole 8" of it. You might call around to local flaps and have them check for a remnant.
