I have just installed my 168 tooth flywheel into my '54 motor and do not have the necessary tools to accomplish this task. Can I get away with installing the flywheel and torqueing the bolts??? #71919 01/19/2007 4:53 AM | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 3,068 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 3,068 | There's no real need to check runout. Just reassemble and torque the bolts. I like to run the pressure plate bolts down gradually, not all at once, to prevent distorting the plate and disc.
