Hello everyone, Andrew here from Indianapolis, and i have a 1959 Apache 31. My father has a 1960 Apache 20 that we've owned since 1988 and is currently receiving a frame off restoration. My 31 is a Texas truck, no rust, and is roughly 85% stock. The truck made it to Indiana via flatbed semi and purchased by my friend in 1994 near Angola, IN. He drove it for one day and parked it in climate controlled garage, where it sits today. Hes actually one of my father's new customers and when my dad met up with him to discuss business, he noted that he was having a garage sale and the '59 was in it. Dad told me and i didnt hesitate to look at it.

The truck has a 1981 350/th350 drivetrain, five lug conversion, bucket seats and a late model steering column, and it has what appears to be a '70s era paint job. the rest is stock.

I hope to have the truck paid off by the end of February and in my driveway a.s.a.p. I look forward to being a part of this site and gaining much valued old school knowledge.

Does $4,800 sound like a good price for a '59 Apache w/o rust?

-Andrew

Welcome Andrew. The Bolt is the place to be for old chevy truck guys.
The price sounds "about right" but we can't see the pics because it wants us to "sign in". Can you repost a link for us. I'd love to see the pics.
Good luck and let us know how we can help.

Hi Andrew, welcome from Scotland.
Considering the work already done and the fact it's a rust free example,i'd say you did OK in your purchase.
Good luck
Jock.

Welcome!!
When I lived in Central IL my buddy and I went to the Indy Good Guys show 4 or 5 times. Usually lots of sweet Chevy trucks there.
Congrats on a great find. Cool truck. Have Fun... Safely.
