I've also installed separate turn signal and high beam warning (idiot) lights.
Can anyone tell me how to do the same for oil and generator lights,that will extinguish when the engine is started ?
I do have an oil pressure and battery gauge,but would like the lights as a back up.

You need an insulated indicator light with 2 wires. Hook 1 wire to a circuit that comes on with the key & hook the other to apropriate sender switches on the oil gallery & cooling system. The gen light will depend on what system you are using.

| | | | | Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 63 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 63 | jock, each warning light requires 2 wires. one side should be connected to 12volt on the ignition side of the ignition switch your kit should have a wire marked for this or find a circuit with a test light that is on connected to ignition. The other side of the warning lights should go to oil sender, temp sender if used and the alternator should have a male terminal (spade type) connect it there not the large stud that is for the battery thus 2 wire alternator

I'll have a look as and when I'm a bit more 'mobile'.
I know what you mean about the spindles though,i've got the same problem.
Mustang 2 IFS,air bags and 2.5" lowered spindles!
I guess i'll need to invest in one of those low profile racing jacks.
