I have a 1954 3600 that had no heater. I found a restorable one (fresh air type) but it does not have the underdash bracket for the flexible cable that operates the inside/outside vertical door. It does have has the correct bracket for the temp control rod.

Question: any idea where to find a correct bracket for the flex cable that mounts left of the steering wheel? Or, Plan B, the temp control rod brackets seem more common. Can I adapt one of those to use for the flex cable?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had the same issue. I found one on eBay. But you might want to post a request in the swap meet under "Truck Parts Wanted".

Welcome and good luck,
Dale

If you aren't in a hurry,Jim Carter is having both brackets reproduced and will be available next month sometime.Finding a original shouldn't be too hard, may just take some time.

That's good news, Tim.
