any methods of getting the two countersunk screws out that hold the front plate to the block out? i've already broken one screw driver. maybe let the machine shop do it?

Don't know about the thrust plate, maybe one was drilled out to a larger size after being broken off?

If you're working through the holes in a fiber timing gear, be careful not to damage the gear with the torch. If you're planning to replace the timing gear, just break it off with a big pry bar to give yourself more working room. Jerry

And aren't there three countersunk screws ? Not just two ?

I was told this about my 216 and they were staked. Taking care of that made them easier to remove. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 206 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 206 | I use a hand impact tool with a flat blade screw driver bit. One smack with the hammer their loose. Mine is similar to this http://www.mytoolstore.com/klein/70220.html. There should be 3 flat head screws and 4 bolts, two inside and two outside | | | | | Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 306 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 306 | cleaned it up found all three screws staked. taking it to the machine shop tomorrow to see if it is any good, i'll let you know the prognosis
