Hello,
I have a non-running 1946 1.5 ton with a 160" wb. The shifter has a small lever attached to the side of the stick which has a rod that runs parallel to the stick and into the trans. It does not have a 2 speed rear, so is this some type of reverse lock out, a splitter, or a high/low range selector? Thanks.

The transmission is a 4 speed GM sliding gear. The trigger is a reverse lockout. All gears are sliding spur type gears that are not synchronized.

Great, thanks for the info. So a three speed would not have the lock out correct?

I may be wrong but I don't think 3 speeds were an option on 1.5 tons. The only ones I've seen were in half tons.for that era.
