The truck does look good. I suppose the milage story is believable, I have at least one experience in my life where I knew of a similar case, except it was a vette. The remark about there only being 11 trucks has to be offbase. Having a 1 ton panel myself, I have to think that there has to be more than that around. I wonder how they came up with that firgure.

I guess, I had one of those eleven, myself. Unless the market closed when the owner passed, I'd guess the milage statement is incorrect.

It looks like a very well done restoration but I would say BS to the mileage and probably most of the rest of the story.

How could he possibly know that's the "lowest milage AD in the World". That statement alone makes the whole story uncreadable to me.

The ad is full of unconfirmable statements (unconfirmable BS?). However, it is a nice looking vehicle. And, however, the only place that might sell for $60,000 is at Barrett-Jackson, unless the seller confirms it was once owned by Elvis or Steve McQueen.

Why would a vehicle with 335 original miles have rust, unless it was poorly stored (maybe it also set a land-speed record on the salt flats and was never cleaned)?

Too bad he did not note that this Panel has the very rare RPO whitewalls. It's also been converted to 12v.

There were about 8,000 1-ton 3805 Chevrolet Panel trucks built in 1950.

The rear doors with the rear lamp on each door was not a factory option but it has been found on a few military ambulance A-D/ND "panels/suburbans". It would be interesting to see a close-up of the passenger seat - the military-ambulance passenger seat (at least in the 1/2 ton) was different from the panel passenger seat.

What is the black thing that is hanging from the steering tube (inside the cab)?

Can't argue with the fact that its a nice looking truck, but I don't believe the story behind it.

I agree with you completely.

Tim, the black thing on the steering column is a flashlight holder,,Western Auto,Grand Auto,etc...
The deluxe fender trims are improperly spaced(too much room between them) and theyre crooked. If they were there from day one,they should have been put back in the proper holes. I think Spanky had one of these rare trucks a while back.
Why a repaint with only 330 mi. and being stored inside? I could go on............
It IS a very nice truck tho.

..... I want to say something but decided against it. Maybe the basement flooded!

.... well, for that kind of money you'd think all the flaws we see would have been rectified.

I think my truck was number 10, out of 11. LOL !
