I suppose I could just rent one for the job but, my son also needs to use one for his 62 Willys and, I understand they're not that expensive. Maybe someone has one they'd like to sell.
Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't remember needing anything special for the new leaf springs on my truck.
There has to be a reasonably safe way to do it without going out to buy or rent a tool, leaf springs are pretty simple.

Really doubt that you need to use one though, but in a pinch I've used a come-a-long to pull it together.

I've only done Model A leaf springs in the past so, I fell back on that experience. Apparently, Chevy leaf springs are not a problem to install in their unloaded state. Thanks again.
