It wants to go further down in the back than the front and tries to “cock” rearward. If I press down very firmly on the front part of the glass, I can crank it all the way down with a lot of effort and force. If I don’t press, it won’t go down. I don’t find anything in the shop manual about lubricating anything on the windows or their mechanisms. What is the cause of this and what is the solution?
The driver’s side window is becoming harder to crank but doesn’t “cock” one way or the other. Any help or advice is appreciated.

Just use a light white grease. But, I would also check to see if the glass is slipping out of the metal base the pane rides in.

John | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 | After you access behind any door panel, crank the window down and you should be able to see the bottom of the window. A tug on the glass will tell you if it's coming loose.
