I have been restoring this truck and just got it running but I couldnt get the headlights to work with the new 6v battery. I removed the headlights and they say 8v on the back of them. I dont know if the orignal owner replaced the old 6v lights with these and ran it from a 8v battery. My question is, Will a 6v run the 8v lights at all? I figured it might but just be a bit dimmer? Any help would be great! I knew right away it was a 6v system so I bought a new 6v battery. I'm not sure if someone had tried to crank it before I got it with the 12v battery and did some damage or not? It wouldnt have cranked because of other issues that have since been resolved but before I took out the 12v battery I did turn the lights on and they worked fine but were bright. I never turned the truck over with that battery. It has only been cranked with the 6v and now runs fine but the lights dont work? The truck was never even turned over or cranked with the 12v battery?
