Mine doesnt. It all looks like it should line up and seat in there, but it doesn't. I have had a couple of guys who know a thing or two about these trucks tell me it should, but it's not.
I have even gotten a different ignition switch, and I'm now contemplating sending my tumbler with the key back and see if that's the problem. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 2,393 | The tumbler should be resonably flush with the switch. The dash retaining collar that holds the switch in place should definitely be flush when installed. You should not be inserting the tumbler into the switch without the key in the tumbler.

the tumbler into the switch housing. That locks the tumbler into the switch housing. After that the key should turn normally clockwise as if you are turning the ignition on.
