I've been looking for a new driveshaft carrier bearing for my 1 ton panel. I've found listing for a couple, but both say "not for suburban or panel".

Does anyone know what the difference would be between a 1 ton panel and a pickup?

I'm also posting this in tons of fun.

1951 1-tom Panel?

The carrier bearing would certainly not be for a 1951 Suburban - 1/2 ton Suburbans did not need/use a carrier bearing.

Yes I know that, just saying what the catalogue said. Thanks anyway.

Make sure you see a picture of what you are ordering. A carrier bearing is inside the rear end. What you are looking for is a center bearing and it is a very common part.

They are listed as a carrier bearing when you look them up. They are sometimes also referred to as a sling bearing. At any rate, they are common, but I can't find a listing for one for a 3800 panel. Any help would be appreciated.

Meanwhile I am going to pick up my old one from the driveshaft shop and take it and my calipers to a local truck parts supplier and see if I can find a match or something that will work.

Thanks
