I have a lead on an original 1946 1-ton truck with a 9' bed. It would go nice with my 3/4 ton and they share more parts than a 1/2. I haven't seen the truck except for a picture that may be a dozen years old. It appears very complete with a little surface rust. It's not running but stored indoors.

I've been looking in the forums and gallery for information but only found a couple pictures and not much else. What I'd really like to know is if $2500 seems too high for a larger truck that doesn't run. The ad makes reference that it could also be used for parts for the 1/2ton crowd. Kind of makes me skeptical about its true condition. Any thoughts before I call on the add and drive 2 hours away?

Has to be seen in person to be evaluated. 12 year old pics and a description isn't going to do it. Hopefully it is in very good shape. The Big Bolts don't seem to draw as much money as the smaller trucks do. I would love to have one though!

I grew up with a 46 1 Ton pickup that had the long box. Don't think I have any pictures of it though. Dad got rid of it while I was in the service.
A few years ago, I could have bought back what was left of it. Unfortunately, there was not that much left!! It would have been way more of a project than I was up for.
