my bet: marker [3 center ones] and clearance lights [outside corners] could have been original in some jurisdictions, I don't think they were federally mandated yet in 52 but they were getting common by then - the turn signals would have been aftermarket, don't think GM made them until 54 or 55 - possibly "optional" at the dealer .... but I ain't buyin you any lights grin

The first thing you need to do is find out how bad it's stuck and why. Is the motor complete? are spark plugs in all the holes, carb there, etc? Has the hood been on to keep water out? If theres nothing obvious, you can put it in high gear and rock it a little to see if the motor turns. It may just be stuck enough that you can't turn it by hand. Of course some engines get bent rods because people pull them while in gear to break them loose. You can pull the plugs and squirt something in the holes, every one has their favorite miracle substance. Rocking it with the plugs out will also tell you a little more. If it gets to where it turns over, you should be able to start it.

yes to cab lights (light, singular would be appropriate)and the turn signal mounted on top of the fender. Two marker lights in the grill. Not sure if turn signals were after market but all the same year trucks I've seen either has them or witness marks and wiring to show that they were there at one time.

remove valve cover and soak valve train with your perfered mixture let soak for a few days and tap valves with hammer, that way you won't bend push rods if any valves are stuck as well when you turn motor. would fill cylinders and let them sit for several days. beware of standing in front of open spark holes if you get it turning may squirt leftover fluid all over your clothes.

My dad bought a '47 where the motor would not turn over. He thought about rebuilding the motor but decided to just pull it apart to see what was going on. What he found was a single kernal of corn that had dried up and fell in thru an open valve when a mouse was living in the exhaust. That one piece of corn was keeping the piston from following thru the entire stroke and stopped it just before TDC.
He put the motor back together, and drove it for 2 years. Moral of the story? Open it up, see what is wrong before the most expensive route is decided. If you are doing a full restore, it would be worth pulling the motor to rebuild. If, like me, it's going to be a work truck, try to get it running first.
Just my opinion.
Good luck,
Dave

Pull all the plugs out and squirt each cylinder full of something like Marvel Mystery oil. Let it set a couple of weeks and then try turning it over with a pry bar on the starter ring gear. Its worth a try.

I would attempt to get it freed up and get it running. I have heard of people freeing up stuck engines and driving them for years without problems or excessive oil usage. If you can get it running why not....if you have to tear it down so be it, but you may avoid it for a bit.

Make sure you pull off valve cover and tap valves to make sure they are not stuck though first.

Signal lights were very common but not factory options on Chevrolet/GMC trucks until 1954. Single-faced and double-faced signal lamps were available as Chevrolet truck accessories prior to 1954; however, I do not know if they were available for all earlier Advance-Design years.

Get some Kroil, and pour 2 or 3 ounces in each cylinder.
