From what little I know about Rochester carburetors, I suppose you are referring to a Rochester model "BC" carburetor that uses a metal tube that transmits heat from a sheet metal "stove" that would be clamped to one of the exhaust manifolds?
| | | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 5,215 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 5,215 | A low-buck way is to wrap Small copper tubing around the exhaust manifold and hook the choke to that. It works OK, just looks a little funny. Run the other end back to the air cleaner for clean filtered air.

There are kits from several suppliers listed on this site that run tubing off those threaded holes to the manifold box. They transfer the exhaust manifold heat to the chamber. It works very well for me, but I'm in Miami. Might not work so well in, say, North Dakota. | | |
