I of course have the floor push button starter. I would need brushes, insulating washers and what not. I have seen all day where you can buy rebuilt ones but can you buy the rebuilding stuff?

I have no idea how the price compares with what your local parts store would have, but he knows his stuff. Whenever I visit my (American) FLAPS I end up spending days or weeks waiting for the wrong parts to come, after hanging in the store for an hour or so while they search the internet for a supplier as good as the one listed above...
