Something to be real proud of.I love these trucks (suprise)! I was able to switch out my alternator in 15 minutes and $60.00 yesterday. I had computer issues with my Sierra, $600.00 later and a day in the shop. Don't get me wrong, I like the Sierra fine, I'm just saying life was so much simpler back then! 1963 Chevy C-10 Fleetside 2010 Chevy HHR SS GONE, NOT FORGETTEN 2003 GMC Z71 2016 Silverado High Country 2500 Diesel 2012 Chevy Camero SS Convertible 2012 Indian Chief Vintage serial #002 motorcycle 2016 Indian Chief Roadmaster | | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 462 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 462 | I am very proud of this truck and a big thanks goes to RJ TRUCK PARTS , RICH SISNEROS for helping me get all the parts i needed to put her back to driveable condition | | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 462 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 462 | truck is finally done pics to follow | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 38 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 38 | This is one sweet truck, I can't wait to see more photos of your progression., keeps me motivated to continue working on my 65'. I would like to know how to tell if has a napco 4x4 in it or factory built. My 4x4 shift handle is on the left of my 4 speed trany. It has a 6cylinder 235. How can I tell if it is high pressure oil or low. Also what engine oil should I be using? | | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 462 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 462 | | | | | Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 787 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 787 | Hi, I just bought a 1960 k20 fleetside. Factory dana44 in front, eaton rear with4.57 gears and rockwell transfercase. Time can change a lot of components in a vechile of this age. If it has a NAPCO axle it will have a tag or stamping on it that says NAPCO. Back then if you wanted a napco axle you could buy 1 and install it on your own as they did at the factory on some of the late 50s truck or dealer installed trucks. They were a conversion kit from napco to convert 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive. Meet the inventor on the napco website.
