If I decide to rebuild or repair my 2spd axle on my '53, but want to still drive it,
what, if any, rear axle can I put in place, it doesn't have to be a 2spd, and still use the same wheels and tires? drive

Be careful calling yourself a expert, because an "EX" is a hasbeen and a"SPERT" is a drip under pressure.

I suggest getting a same thing replacement (from Webbs maybe) and have it rebuilt and ready to go. Just make the swap once.

I've got a 53 GMC 2 speed axle in the swap meet It's from a really nice truck.
