Insert the key and turn it all the way to the left. If you have the key, I think the procedure is to press a paper clip in the small hole in the front of the barrel and then turn the key in the barrel.

I've removed locks from things like file cabinets that way in the past, but did not think about that for my truck. I do not have a key for the ign cylinder in my truck as the original owner could not locate them, however I have purchased a new cylinder and could not find a way to get it out without the key. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 | Yes go down through the center it is ridged near the bottom so ease your way in carefully get all the tumblers out and it will come with a little effort. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 899 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 899 | Sometimes the lock cylinder is worn enough to allow a screwdriver to act as a key and turn the cylinder. If so you may be able to do that and use the paper clip in the hole to extract the lock.
