For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 331 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 331 | Hey guys, just thought I'd share with you that I ended up getting tired of thinking about my rotted out 61 Apache, so I bought another one that's in very solid shape. It's a 61 also...but it's a real stovebolt unlike the other one, this one has the 235 in it, which runs pretty good. I'm unfamiliar with Chevy sixes, are they decently reliable? I understand that this being a Chevy site and all, you guys will all be pretty biased:D Gonna have it shipped home to Calgary from Washington soon I hope. Pictures will follow.

It sounds healthier than my 283...and it's really clean too. I'll probably miss the power of the V8 though, but oh well:) | | | | | Joined: May 2007 Posts: 1,718 Moderator: 60-66 Trucks; North Eastern Bolters | | Moderator: 60-66 Trucks; North Eastern Bolters Joined: May 2007 Posts: 1,718 | I remember your previous posts. What did you do with the first 61? Sell, or keep for bits and pieces.

It`s for sale, but I`m realizing that something like this is a pain in the butt to sell. Soon I`ll have no room for it, so it`s looking like I`m gonna have to get rid of it for dirt cheap, which kinda sucks | | | | | Joined: May 2007 Posts: 1,718 Moderator: 60-66 Trucks; North Eastern Bolters | | Moderator: 60-66 Trucks; North Eastern Bolters Joined: May 2007 Posts: 1,718 | I hear ya. Cheers and good luck. I saw the for sale post. I bought my truck with "no rust". Of course I did not believe that. I just did not fully understand. 2 cab corners, both floors, both door pillars, all recently done. New fenders needed. No rust? The good news is that I am getting it closer to "no rust" Learning as I go. I miss it, but probably won't anymore when the other one comes here from the States. | | |
