Now that I have it in hand there are no mounting holes for the horn. Did the 235 intakes come in a version that had no holes and need drilled, or with cast holes for the horn, or am I just plain lost, or do I need to keep looking for the right intake manifold? The 52 has rams horn hi and low horns, but I like the look of the single horn shaped horn. From 1954 and onwards the horn was not mounted on the 235/261 intake manifold.
What year intake manifold do you have?
The dual-horn option/accessory was not usually mounted on the intake manifold; but, I would guess that in 1953 and earlier years that the intake would most likely still have had the holes for the horns.

From the info you gave me I suspect it is from a 54. I have the duel horns from what I think is the original 56 motor That replaced the 216 that was in the truck. It looks like I will just have to keep my eyes peeled for a 53 and earlier manifold.
