Plus the manuals I purchased do not show much about bed assembly. My bed had no wood when I purchase it so my question is, can you put the bed together without having the wood ready yet and anyone have pics, spec or know a good place to get them?

| | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | Yes, the bed can be assembled without the wood in place, just use a few peices of 1" thick board under the side angle strips to support the bed and hold in the proper hight. Mar-K would be the best place to check for a diagram on how the bed goes together. Also, the factory assembly manual is available in reprint, it has an extensive section on bed assembly.

This site is a great source for info, if you use the tech help section it will guide you to where you need to go. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | katz - you should start at the beginning and look at every page of the assembly manual, suprising the stuff you can learn about the truck in there .... the bed assy, as indicated in the Index, is in section 1 "Platform and Pickup", the box instructions start with sheet 129.00 - note that each page references 'detail views', those are on later sheets
