It was a new all steel model that year, assembled by an outside vendor and sold through GMC dealers. I have seen Chevy versions that had the GMC grille. They ran 15 inch tires that wore out quickly. It was a new competitor to International, who was the delivery van leader then. Sounds to me like it was a forward-control chassis with an aftermarket box/van body. There are a few like that in the Gallery. You might browse there and see one like it. You could also search these forums for "van" or "delivery" and see if you get any hits. Good luck.

I think that is what you are talking about. Some of the older stepvans used Chevy and GMC chassis with bodies built by Boyer body company in I believe it was Ohio. I remember seeing a few of the older ones because they were rather small.
