here the short story I was refered here to take a look and gather some info for a quick project that I'm doing for my BF's Dad
Dad started trucking back in the 50's and found a 56 6500 I6 with a 4 speed and 2. He has had the truck painted the sheet metal was great before they started so its a solid foundation for light duty hauler. He wants to still use it for hauling bark mulch and maybe alittle topsoil for home delivery..then weekend will it will get parade duty
A quick over view it looks like its going to need some wiring work,a door adjustment or a hindge, some window regulator work,a radio, floor mat and peddle pads, wiper adjustment?? a pair of carrier bearings and check out the complete front end and I need to find or build a bed the PTO pump and lines are already there..brakes are all new

the goal is to make it safe and turn key without worry of any foolish break downs

Welcoem to the Stovebolt guys. Your at the right place. Lots of good stuff here. Knowledge and folks!

To help everyone out note that this is the "welcome centre" so you may want to look around in the forums. Not everyone looks in here, or at every forum so to get the best/most views and answers it helps to post in the best forum. For example, Keyman, if your looking for fenders and running boards post it in the Parts Wanted Forum.... and since Hottrucks has a BIG bolt you will probably spend some time in the BIG BOLT forum.

Nevertheless, you'll find this site friendly, helpful and even entertaining at times!! smile
Welcome.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
