Does anybody have information on a power steering set up for a 1955 Chev 1st series with a 6 cyl. Everything that I see with the parts suppliers is for a V8. Thank you for your help

Welcome to the Bolt wallyp.

I'm not sure about this but until someone else chimes in here goes. Classic Parts of America, or American Classic, has a tech tip on their site about putting power steering on the AD pickups. I know one of the sites has a tech tip on them upgrading their own truck.... but it does not show the power steering set up. I'm sure someone here will actually tell you more but maybe this will keep you hunting until they do....

...It may help to ask this in engine and driveline???
Now, how about some pics of your truck. We love pics around here.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

I've seen it done two ways. Use the generator/power steering pump from a '57 car. This setup has the pump behind the generator.

The second is to use a big band to secure the pump to the generator.

Neither approach really appeals to me so I've been contemplating making my own brackets.

It's true. I really don't do anything but browse the Internet looking for trouble...
