Well, I brought my 1945 Chevy home 5yrs and 11 months ago but I'm finally done! I still have some minor stuff to do, but she drives up and down the road so I consider her done. I submitted a gallery submition a about 5 yrs ago and there were many times between now and then I wondered if I would ever get done! My wife and I had 2 kids and built a house in the last 4 yrs, so the truck went to the back burner a few times. I've got an independant front end under it with a LT-1 and 6-speed from a Camaro for the power. For the most part, I've kept the exterior appeance original except for a few minor mods such as moving the fuel tank under the bed and installing a Mar-K box with smoothed stake pockets and tailgate with a latch. I couldn't have finished this project without my cousin Mardy and his vast car knoweledge, my wife and her graciously never asking where all our money went, and all the great people that participate in the Stovebolt forums. I bought and sold parts as well as had numerous problems solved buy great stovebolters allways willing to send a pic or whatever it took when I was stumped. http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac241/lccontractors/truck113.jpg http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac241/lccontractors/truck120.jpg http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac241/lccontractors/truck123.jpg http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac241/lccontractors/truck114.jpg

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

Looks great Mark, nice stance too. I'm taking at least as long as you and I didn't build a house or have children recently. You did well.
