Just movedinto california, brought my 1965 c10 too be reregistered. DMv canot identify nnor verify vin... where else can i find it before i go too highway patrol too have it located. thanks guys | | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | The vin plate should be located on the upper left door hinge pillar. It may also be stamped on the frame, I'm not 100% sure about that on the later trucks, though.

I have a 66 with the vin in that location. it looks totally factory (weird). you can figure out your vin by creating the first 5 letters c1545 long bed or c1445 short bed. the rest of your vin is located on the frame rail under the hood between the radiator and the exhaust manifold on the drivers side.good luck! | | |
