For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 78 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 78 | I have a 1953 chevy 3100 I'm restoring. When I took the truck to have it media blasted, they removed the cab. Unfortunately they removed the cab mounting shackles in the rear and lost them. Does anyone know where I can buy new or used ones?

I've seen rebuild kits but not the entire shackle in reproduction catalogs. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 134 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 134 | Same thing happened to me, got a pair from Jay in CA, found him the parts for sale forum.

There are as many as 4 shims and two lock plates (threaded) which go inside behind seat tub. It is a good idea to use them instead of just nuts and flats since they will pull through depending on use. http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2235943390102454676FUuGUvhttp://community.webshots.com/photo/2379203940102454676qNTFMD | | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 2,254 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 2,254 | You can also check with JIMBO.
