For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 71 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 71 | Hi there,
I am a beginner that is seeking some probably otherwise simple advice. I just started getting into classic trucks and purchased a 1954 3100 Chevy. A friend who knows about this truck helped me take apart the tranny so I could swap in a working motor.
I need help re-assembling the clutch fork to the bottom of the clutch pedal. My buddy is on sabbatical and I have no idea how this assembly works.
I have the fork in correctly and attached to the throw-out bearing. My difficulties are how to connect the threaded rod to the clutch pedal. I searched the threads here and consulted my manual but have had no luck with a drawing that describes this.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,

This is a tremendous help, thanks for sharing. Two questions...
Is there a on either side of the clutch fork along the threaded rod?
Does the spring simply attach to the frame?
Thanks again, this is super helpful.
