Yes it is a good engine. If you are wanting to put it in a Chevy you'll need to move your radiator forward. You'd be better off with a 270 or 302 if you are going to rebuild but if you can get a good running 228 worth the money, go for it. | | |

But if you are going to do the work to convert to a GMC motor why not look for a 270 or 302. 302s can be hard to find, but 270s are common and externally identical.
