HELLO TO ALL MY FELLOW STOVEBOLT BROTHERS. MY NAME IS JOHNNY BOY AND I LIVE IN LOS ANGELES. I AM CURRENTLY WORKING A MY '37 CHEVY 1/2 TON PICKUP.. IT'S REALLY SOLID AND SOME WHAT ORIGINAL. BUT NOT FOR LONG! I AM GOING TO INSTALL A FATMANS MUSTANG II WITH A 250 CHEVY MOTOR, S10 T-5 TRANNY, AND A FORD REAREND. MAYBE WITH AIRBAGS ALL AROUND OR COILS AND DEARCHED SPRINGS IN THE REAR.. I AM CURRENTLY PLANNING HOW TO RUN MY BRAKE/ CLUTCH PEDAL ASSEMBLY AND SANDING DOWN THE FRAME TO BARE METAL. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK JOE HAND AND CUTMASTER JOHN FOR ALL THEIR HELP... AND I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP OR FEEDBACK.. THANK YOU..

HERE ARE SOME PICTURE.

okay, then a chevy rearend and I will re-drill the axles..LOL... I most likely will use a ford rearend because mustang II came with the truck and the PO ordered it with 4 1/2 bolt pattern.. OHHH! and i forgot to mention i will be running 15 inch artilleries with 165r15 radial BF Goodrich tires...

I hear ya, it makes sense to keep the bolt circles the same.

Just make sure it sits low enough so folks can't see the F*rd parts! grin

Either way it's good to see another old 'bolt being saved!

johnnyboy, just want to let you know you can't believe a thing Joe Hand tells you!!..... kidding, just kidding. Joe is a great guy and has one really nice 37. I've seen it in Kansas a couple times and had to keep my hanky out wiping off all the drool!!

Welcome to the 1937 Stovebolt world. Let me know if I can help you in any way. Oh, I agree with Jock, disguise the Ferd rearend smile..... I used a Malibu in mine and the 37 loves it.

...and you have one in such nice shape to begin with. WOW

EDIT: please lay off the orange letters. I'm getting OLD and can hadly see smile

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Welcome Johnnyboy, I love those '37s. It'll look good whichever way you put it back together. Looks like it's in very good shape already.

.... Joe is working on School Buses!! He's around here somewhere. If he don't show up you can always send him a PM.

Maybe now that school is out for the summer he will have more stovebolting time?!!
