Hi all~

We've got no title on this yet, and we can't find the VIN on it so I'm guessing here...

I think it's a 1958 Chevrolet Apache 31 Suburban. Any ideas? I've only found 2 photos online that match it (and they were listed as '58 Chevy Apache Suburbans).

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Based on the hood and side emblems, front grill, etc. Yes it is a 58.

the vehicle serial number will be on the bottom of this plate.
Your picture.
It looks like a 58 1/2 ton suburban.

Thanks T'mater! The weird thing about that plate is that the only number stamped into it is "704-A" which I figured out is the paint code. Would the serial number have been stamped into the plate or just printed on it?

Maybe some of the 58 owners can clue you in. On my 53 the ser. no. is stamped in the plate on the door jamb and no where else on the truck.

yes it's a 58 [hood emblem tells], that blue tag is just the GVW tag - the 'vin' will be on a small stainless tag spot welded to the drivers door pillar above the dogleg [starts with 3A, meaning 114" WB 1/2T or 3100], and it should be stamped on the top frame rail around the steering box, but the frame number will be missing the "3A"

the specific model is a 3116, with the clamshell end gate - the barn door style is 3106
