He said he left on the stock covers because they are less likely to leak.
This is my first 350 so I was wondering if anyone has experience with this issue. If I change over to the Mickey valve covers will it just be for looks and possible leaking problems.
If it aint broke don’t fix it? Did I just answer my own question? | | |

This theory seems backwards to me. I would have thought the cast aluminum cover, being rigid and machined true, would be prone to leak less.
Stock stamped steel valve covers usually become tweaked from overtightening and will leak if not massaged and flattened before installing the gasket.

Sounds to me like he didn't use the M/T covers cuz the steel ones weren't leaking,so why invite trouble-just don't ever remove 'em...
