on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 38 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 38 | Hi.... Rim options... I need some newer rims, and did the research. I would like narrow rims, 6" or less with 6 lugs. I did a nationwide Craigs List search and found a bunch and learned a lot in the process, but need a little more specific information and wonder if anybody else had done this and could save me some time with the information. I found posts that would confirm that Toyota and Mazda rims were 6" wide and 6 lug and fit a Chevy. They even had pictures, but nobody seemed to know what range of years had these, or was it all of them? Ideas? Is there a rim made that is less than 6" and 6 lug? I have time on my side, so I will be looking at swap meets for something in the next few years. I don't care to buy anything new... money IS an issue; isn't it always? | | | | | Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 319 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 319 | My stock rims are 6" wide...had 'em sand blasted & powder coated. My "other" rims are the white "wagon wheel" style, 7" & 8", but I think they had 6" available. Check Wheel Vintiques website...
cm If you can't fix it with a hammer and screwdriver, you need a bigger hammer.1965 Chevy C10 | | | | | Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 33 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 33 | I pretty much always run original GM wheels from the mid to late 50's. I have had 15" by 5" and 5-1/2" original wheels on most of my trucks. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 239 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 239 | I picked up some AD wheels a while back, 16x4. Were available in 15" also.
