I am restoring a 1949 Chevy p/u truck. I didn't origionally remove the cab but it has been painted and ready to install ont he frame. I bought the Cab to frame installion hardware part # CB250 which contained the two long bolts for the front of the cab nuts and washers and spacers. These I know are for the front of the cab. I also have 8 round rubber spacers with holes in them. can anyone send me a picture or tell me where these go between the frame and cab. It appears that bolts go through these spacers.

Sounds like you must have an early 1949 cab they use a center rear mont and two bumpers for the rear on each side. Carter's CB157 has the same pads and bolts for the front but come with two new bumpers for each side of the rear. Might give em a call and see if they will swap em out with you.

Easiest way to tell is gas tank in cab uses the newer style.

The first photo is the one I have. I replaced the old worn out shackles and Have the two metal plates that go inside the cab to bolt to the shackles. I do not have the 4 spacers with two holes in each spacer. Are you saying that the rubber gromets go in between the shackles and the bottom of the cab. Where do the spacers go on top of the gromets next to the bottom of the cab. you did not show in the photo but the front bolts go through the floor board and through the extension out from the frame.

Your right, those 8 rubber spacers are for the rear shackle mounts.
When I rebuilt mine I ended up reusing the old rubber, just cleaned up and lightly greased.

Use the search engine here before you mount your cab. There is a certain dimension you need to shoot for when you mount your cab. search....AD cab installation its in the paint and body shop forum

The best thing to get for yourself is a assembly manual and a shop or repair manual as your building your truck this way if your in the middle of a project and need to know somthing you can look it up all the dimensions are there
