New guy from the small town of Romeo, MI. The name is Andrew. I don't own one of these trucks but have found one sitting back in a swamp at the golf course I work at and am looking for some information on it. I enjoy pretty much any old vintage cars/trucks. Uhmmm, I like sports, anything outside, cars/trucks, hunting/target shooting and long walks on the beach...oh wait...scratch that last one. grin

Hey Andrew, welcome, you don't need to own an old GM truck to join us, you just need to like them. A swamp is not the best place to leave an old truck sitting, hopefully it wasn't there too long. Do you know what year it is?
edit, just saw the photos in another forum, looks like a 55 TF.

From researching on other forums (non-GMC truck related before I found this forum) I think I've narrowed it down to being a '55 450 grain/dump truck. It's been sitting there for a while, got trees all around it. Here's a link to the thread I started on it, pictures included.

Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome to the bolt. Drag it out and check it out. It would at least be a parts truck.... and if all else doesn't work out you can sell it for scrap and get the towing money back!!!

Since its big it may not be rotted as bad as a half ton since it does stand taller off the ground. Keep us posted on what happens.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
