My '66 Chevrolet K10 4X4 has the factory drum brakes on all four corners, and I am wondering about a front disc install. Will the brakes off of a later model, say, a 1968-84 4X4 Chevrolet? This truck has the 6 bolt half ton Chevrolet axles, and takes a football field to slow down in. Ha. If anyone knows an easy inexpensive way to put disc brakes on the front of one of these trucks from parts in a junk yard, the information would be greatly appreciated.

Just find a mid '70's diff with the same gear ratio and install. You'll need a new master cylinder and prop valve to go with it though.
