I recently acquired the 1941 gmc. it is in what I would call good, unrestored. It was inside for last 30 years and everything is original and about 98 percent there. Anyways the paint, yes it still has color, throws me off when I look at shots of restored ones. the black fender coloralso extends around under the top "hood grill " and also up the small sheetmetal piece that runs up to the hood right in front og the gmc truck logo . oOn the restored shots it appears as red , Which is right? The bed of the truck needs replacing, not the sides, front or tail gate, does anyone know if there is replacement metal for this, it is a 7 1/2 foot bed? thanks for any info. douggd

dougone. WElcome to the Stovebolt. Your at the right place to get your answers..... but the wrong forum. Not everyone visits the welcome center here. To find more answers, and opinions, try to post your questions in the best forum. More people will see it and thus more answers and information.
Take your time, get to know the gang. Lots of knowledge and good helpful guys here.
See ya around the garage.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
